Useful foods for teeth:
Foods rich in fiber, with low sugar content – broccoli, cauliflower, juicy crispy vegetables (carrots, celery, peppers, cucumber). These products clean the surface of the teeth and neutralize the acid-base balance.
Dairy. In cheese, milk, cottage cheese and yoghurt there is a lot of calcium and little acids. They make their teeth stronger.
Foods rich in vitamin C. Lack of vitamin C can lead to bleeding gums and loosening of the teeth. Therefore, make sure that the diet was enough citrus, strawberries, kiwi, pepper, carrots. And it is better to eat fresh fruits and vegetables entirely, rather than relying on purchased juices in which there is too much sugar.
Xylitol is a natural sweetener of vegetable origin. Unlike ordinary sugar, xylitol does not harm teeth, on the contrary – it reduces the amount of plaque and slows the formation of caries.
Tea. Black and green tea contain polyphenols, which kill harmful bacteria that destroy teeth.
Meat and oily fish. Meat and oily sea fish (for example, salmon and mackerel) contain phosphorus, which protects tooth enamel. Also these products are rich in vitamins A, C and D, strengthening teeth.
Nuts. Nuts contain many useful vitamins and minerals that strengthen not only the teeth, but also the gums.
Harmful foods for teeth:
Sweet carbonated drinks. Sweet soda is the enemy of teeth number 1. In this case it must be taken into account that diet drinks are no less dangerous. All sweetened drinks contain not only sugar, but also acids. And if you drink this drink slowly, stretching pleasure, for the teeth the situation worsens even more.
